Its a little over 24 hours before I fly off and I think everything is in place. Passports, flight details, pen and paper all packed and ready to go.
I've completed everything that needs completing at work, and now all that is left is the nerves and excitement.
I have to say that people have been amazing. The kind hospitality of those I'll be meeting in the US, and the support I've received from friends, colleagues and family has made taking this trip feel like despite going at it alone, I'll always have someone watching my back.
Having not the best self-esteem and confidence, doing things like this I never find easy. But once I'm doing it, my comfort zone grows (that's a nod to you Jerry :) ) and its all good.
So just wanted to make my first post a post of thanks to everyone who has helped, supported and generally put up with me for the last nine months :)
